BECKHAM BACKS JAGUAR

Former England international David Beckham has become the brand ambassador for Jaguar cars, as they prepare to make an entry into the Chinese market. Jaguar are one of the popular luxury car brands in the world.

However, they went through troubled times in the past decade. In the last few years, however, they have been attempting to make a comeback with a slew of launches in the high-end category. Beckham, who is one of the popular footballers in the world, has agreed to become the ambassador for the British giant.

Beckham recently retired from playing football after six months at Paris St Germain. The 38-year-old is well-known for his time at Manchester United and Real Madrid during a glittering career that also saw him win numerous trophies. Beckham has also revealed his admiration for Jaguar cars and he says that he is delighted to be part of this association. The latest unveiling from the company is the new F type, which will be launched in China in the next few weeks. Jaguar have been involved in bringing football people into their company. Chelsea manager José Mourinho recently became the first person in the UK to get the delivery of the F type.

Beckham’s wife, Victoria Beckham has been involved in designing Range Rover editions in the past.

“I’ve always been an admirer of Jaguar – from the styling and design to the feel and roar of the engine, every element feels uniquely British. I love the classic E-Type of the 60s and today this legacy is alive in the phenomenal F-TYPE Coupé, a car that epitomises British craftsmanship. It’s an honour to support a brand with such an amazing heritage and I look forward to being part of Jaguar’s exciting future in China,” said Beckham about the partnership, which will see him appear in several commercials.
