BECKHAM MAY START

The manager of Paris Saint Germain, Carlo Ancelotti, has said that the club’s new signing David Beckham might be included in the starting XI for the match against Olympique Marseille which is going to be played on Sunday.

Beckham hasn’t played any match for his new club so far. He has been out of football since the last couple of months. The last time that he had played in a competitive match was in December for his former club Los Angeles Galaxy.

Beckham has been training with the PSG squad since the last couple of weeks. According to Ancelotti, the fitness of English midfielder has improved and now, he is fit enough to be included in the starting XI.

Talking to the reporters ahead of the match against Marseille, Ancelotti said, “When he came here, his fitness was not that good. But, he has trained hard in the last few days and has got back to match fitness pretty quickly. It’s likely that he will get a starting chance tomorrow.”

“It’s obviously fantastic to have a great player like him in the squad. He has played all over the world. So, he has the experience of playing in different conditions. He will prove to be handy for us during his short tenure over here.”

Meanwhile, David Beckham himself has also said that he is pretty excited before his first match for PSG. The English superstar said, “PSG and Marseille are arch rivals. So, tomorrow’s match is a huge one and it’s great that I am going to make my PSG debut in such a special match. I am really very excited about it. Hopefully, I would start my PSG career with a good performance.”

Beckham has been signed by PSG on a contract of just 5 months.
