As each day passes on and the January transfer window edges closer and closer, there are some rumors which claim that the future of a certain player is inclining towards another club from the one where they are currently performing in and one of those players is Edinson Cavani who has never really managed to replicate the performances that he made with Napoli before he joined PSG for a transfer fee of €64.5 million.
This transfer fee is one of the highest ever paid for a player in football and PSG was gladly willing to pay for it in order to bring Cavani from Italy to France. The performances that EdinsonCavani displayed with Napoli were so impressive that PSG didn’t think twice in making a move for him but unfortunately for the French side, Cavani has been playing fairly well but not at the same level or intensity as he did when performing for Napoli.
EdinsonCavani has continuously been linked with a move away from PSG and he has lured the attention of Manchester United and Arsenal. PSG has placed a valuation of Cavani of around £50million which is very high amount that not many clubs are able to match but Manchester United recently offloaded more than €130 million during the previous transfer window in order to sign players such as: Angel Di Maria, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw.
If Louis van Gaal is indeed interested in upgrading his attacking options even further, there is no doubt that EdinsonCavani could turn into a viable winter signing although it remains unsure if Arsenal would be willing to spend so much cash in Cavani.
If a transfer deal does happen and Cavani leaves PSG, the French club is rumored to be already setting their sights on a player that can fill the absence of Cavani and that player is Real Madrid’s KarimBenzema.
