MLS Football side Los Angeles Galaxy (LA Galaxy) have confirmed the transfer of Brazilian international winger Douglas Costa. The MLS football giants announced the signing of the ex-Shakthar Donetsk and Bayern Munich star on Thursday.

31-year-old Douglas Costa has joined MLS football giants LA Galaxy on loan to cover the rest of his loan spell at Gremio. He would then be released to join LA Galaxy on loan by parent club Juventus in the summer when the period of his loan at Gremio ends. He would be given a contract until 2023 at LA Galaxy.
Douglas Costa will take up the third Designated Player spot at LA Galaxy. MLS football clubs have the grace of at most three Designated Players in a season. LA Galaxy already have two Designated Players and Brazilian winger Douglas Costa will take up the third and last Designated Player spot. 22-year-old Kevin Cabral and 33-year-old Javier Hernandez were the two Designated Players at LA Galaxy before the signing of Douglas Costa was confirmed.
MLS football side LA Galaxy is the fifth club for Douglas Costa after Gremio, Ukrainian club Shakthar Donetsk, German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and Juventus. The left-footed winger had his best season as a professional football player during the 2017/18 season at Juventus where he had 19 goal contributions in 47 games. A €55m transfer followed his spectacular season at Juventus.
