MLS SIDES SHOWING INTEREST IN UNITED MIDFIELDER

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is currently being monitored by certain clubs across Europe after finding opportunities hard to come by at the club. Mata has been a long-serving star for United since being signed for the club from Chelsea by former manager David Moyes but having been sidelined to a less participatory role under Olé Gunnar Solksjær, it’s only normal for him to start generating links to other clubs.

The Spanish midfielder was formerly linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahçe but the move was never going to happen. Since the start of last season, Mata has not made enough appearances on the pitch as he would have loved, and he has been starting majorly from the bench within that time frame as well.

And fresh reports making the rounds are suggesting that he could be leaving Old Trafford and initiate an attempt to engineer a move to the United States. Several MLS SIDES have shown interest in him including the likes of Los Angeles Galaxy, Atlanta, New York City United, and New York Red Bulls. But it is the Bulls who have shown interest more than the other sides as they look to complete his signing before starting their campaign fully.

Mata has too much competition for places in the United midfield, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, Greenwood, and Donny Van de Beek all ahead of him in the pecking order.

If he leaves United, it looks almost certain that he would be playing for a Major League Soccer side next season and the move could be completed this summer. United will also be looking to sign a replacement should he leave, and they have revived their interest in Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.
