Miami could be set for their first top division football club after it has emerged that England star David Beckham has chosen this city as the location for his new MLS franchise. Beckham was given the option to start a new MLS franchise when he signed a contract with LA Galaxy in 2007.

It was agreed that Beckham will be given this option when he decided to retire from football. Even though many have thought that Beckham would fit into football management, the 38-year-old has always spoken about becoming a football club owner.

Former Manchester United star David Beckham has revealed that he wants striker Wayne Rooney to stay at Old Trafford amidst heavy speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea. Chelsea have made two offers for the player, which have been rejected by Manchester United.

Former manager Sir Alex Ferguson said at the end of last season that he had handed an official transfer request, but that statement is now proven to be false. However, Rooney could hand his second transfer request of his United career if he sees any threat to his dream move to Chelsea.
