Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham has stated that Jose Mourinho will be a success at Manchester United.

He said that it was a great move by his former club, and he expects the Portuguese manager to deliver the goods.

For the former England international, Jose Mourinho who has replaced Louis van Gaal in the summer is the right man for the job, and he believes that he is capable of turning the club’s fortunes. Indeed Manchester United have not been performing well ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club and fans have been frustrated under both David Moyes as well as Louis van Gaal.

However, David Beckham believes that Jose Mourinho has the necessary experience as well as the skills to bring trophies back to Manchester United and believe he is the right person to drive the club forward.

He said that he has great expectations on Jose Mourinho and believe that he is a better person than when he left Chelsea. David Beckham believes that the Portuguese manager has some good knowledge of the Premier League and that will be definitely helpful when it comes to winning the Premier League.

The former England international said that he had great respect for Louis van Gaal and believes that he is a world-class coach as well but unfortunately did not work well with Manchester United. He said that probably the style of football that the club played under the Dutch manager was not appropriate for the fans, but he believes that it will be a new start under Jose Mourinho.

David Beckham said that if there is a manager that can bring back the glory days at Manchester United it is Jose Mourinho and that he is glad that the Portuguese manager has accepted to take charge of the club.
