BECKHAM BACK TO HIS BEST

The former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham was at his inspirational best in recent match against the El Salvador club Isidro Metapan. The MLS club LA Galaxy were beginning the CONCACAF Champions League against the club from El Salvador. The MLS club certainly the favourite to win the match, but they were given a huge fright in a match after Isidro Metapan managed to score in the 17th minute after a defensive collapse by the American team. However, David Beckham stepped up to the plate to give excellent crosses for his teammates to score in the match.

Finally, David Beckham was able to taste a 5-2 success with his team. It was one of the best matches in recent seasons that the England midfielder has had for this club. The 36-year-old has been constantly criticised for his lack of commitment, but he showed that he still has the quality to help his club win. The LA Galaxy manager Bruce Arena said after the match that the club could have won by an even greater margin had it not been for the poor finishing. He also praised David Beckham for his impeccable crosses, which were largely responsible for LA Galaxy winning the match.

“It’s a game we could have won by a larger margin, for sure. We could have had a couple goals in the opening minutes of the game. The referee missed the call. And, typical, we’ve seen in these competitions, the referees think they’re bigger than the game itself. And they’ve got to put themselves ahead of everything,” said Bruce Arena after the match. The only sore point for the club will be the lack of Robbie Keane for the upcoming matches after the former Tottenham striker was sent off in the second half for reasons unknown to the manager.
