David Beckham has confirmed his plans to return to MLS after starting a new franchise in Miami. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder will be able to start this franchise at heavily discounted price of $ 25 million, as it was included as part of his contract when he signed for LA Galaxy in 2007.

Beckham played in MLS for five years from 2007 to 2012. During this period, the profile of the league improved immensely and it now boasts of players like Thierry Henry and Robbie Keane amongst others.

Hundreds of fans lined up in West End hoping to get signed copies of David Beckham’s latest book and a chance to meet in person, the retired football player.

Some even camped out overnight in order to get a head start and be in the line ahead of the rest and a lot of the fans were disappointed after hearing that only the first 500 people had a guaranteed opportunity to meet the former Manchester United player.

Miami could be set for their first top division football club after it has emerged that England star David Beckham has chosen this city as the location for his new MLS franchise. Beckham was given the option to start a new MLS franchise when he signed a contract with LA Galaxy in 2007.

It was agreed that Beckham will be given this option when he decided to retire from football. Even though many have thought that Beckham would fit into football management, the 38-year-old has always spoken about becoming a football club owner.

Former Manchester United star David Beckham has revealed that he wants striker Wayne Rooney to stay at Old Trafford amidst heavy speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea. Chelsea have made two offers for the player, which have been rejected by Manchester United.

Former manager Sir Alex Ferguson said at the end of last season that he had handed an official transfer request, but that statement is now proven to be false. However, Rooney could hand his second transfer request of his United career if he sees any threat to his dream move to Chelsea.

Both David and Victoria were interviewed together recently by a news channel of China. The first question that interviewer asked David was about his future plans after retiring from professional football. Before David could answer that, Victoria interrupted in between and said, “He should try his hand at acting. He will turn out to be a good actor. I think he is fit for the role of James Bond.”

Fulham manager Martin Jol has said that he is still not convinced by the fact that Fulham have managed to avoid the drop this season. Fulham have been one of the inconsistent teams in the Premier league this season.

Beckham’s contract with his previous club Los Angeles Galaxy ended before Christmas and Beckham is without contract at the moment. However, the former England captain is getting a number of offers from all over the world.
